2500th visitor
I would just like to congratulate Sarah on being my 2500th visitor on May 1st at 14:38:37, which is about 2:40 pm.
BTW, Sarah, did you change your AIM name or block people or something? I never see you online anymore.

My last class for the semester was today, I am done until August. Yay!
I sold all but 1 book back, for a total of $130, for over $500 worth of books. Oh well, $130 is better than $0.
Now that I am out of school, I can begin some of my projects, one of them being blog work that will commence very soon. The poll has been being flaky, and my fixing it isn’t helping much, so that will certainly be on the list. Anyway, if the blog/poll/site/etc… do not work on one of your visits, don’t be alarmed.
Grades aren’t back yet, I am very sure of an A in everything but machining and CAD, since I didn’t do a particularly hard CAD final project (in my opinion anyway) and I didn’t finish all the machining projects, but I am still fairly sure of at least a B in both of those.
I think that’s it for now. Happy summer.

I just want to say goodbye to Scott, as this is his last day as a civilian until 2012. Tomorrow morning he leaves for Chicago to begin boot camp, and might not even see this post for 2 months, I don’t know.
Anyway, have fun Scott. Don’t get shot.
Jenn just made 2000th visitor about 5 min after last post. On old blog I was 2000th, 13 months after starting. This site only took 7 months.
This post is filed under Special, because it is my 350th, as well as following story.
Friday morning I was called by Jenn at about 7 AM to let me know she banged up her car, but was alright. About 4 she called to tell me to look out the window at the car she was test driving, because the damage to her car was around $8000 for body work alone, plus wheel alignment, possibly new rims, and who knows what else. Since her car bluebooks for around $5500 max, it just wasn’t worth fixing. So, tomorrow, she picks up her new car.
As I understand it, and it may not be perfectly correct, she was coming off I-75 North on the ramp to I-675 south and started to slide ( it had snowed that night, if you recall). She spun around in a 180, smucked the front drivers side of her car into the guard rail, bounced off, then smucked the rear drivers side and came to a stop. She is alright though, a bruise on her side from the door handle and a bit sore, but OK.
Other than that, not a whole lot. I worked friday, but got Saturday off. Today was spent catching up on some homework, and tomorrow I work again. Tuesday will be the presentation of speech 2, as well as an electronics test, but those are every Tuesday. Wednesday, I have off, and no plans for yet.
I guess that’s all.

First of all, quickly, sorry about any blog issues that were experienced today. I upgraded to WP 2.0 and had a few small glitches.
On to the point though, Happy New Year. Yes, it is that time again, 10:41pm, and that means just 79 minutes till 2006.
If you have any resolutions for 2005 that you have been putting off till the last minute, the good news is you still have 78 more minutes till then, The bad news of course is you have wasted about 525521 minutes so far.
Also, it is the time to make new resolutions, unless you consider yourself perfect, or have just accepted you will fail on them anyway.
As for my resolutions, last year I clamied I would
Well, my room is not clean, so that didn’t work. I am in slightly better shape, definately lost a few pounds an even an inch here and there, but not my long list of coast guard requirements I had. Better blogging has been accomplished as well, though I did get a little lazy over the past month or so.
Overall, I didn’t do bad. I got better grades, and found a job, and may soon have a car. Thats something.
For next year, I have this
Yeah, they seem lame, but unless I keep them easy, I will never accomplish them. Hell, I couldn’t even manage to keep my room clean.
So, anyway, a Happy New Year to you all, and I will see you again in 2006.
So, lets recap what you all missed.
Saturday Scott, Chris, Shelby, some guy, and I went to Genji in Midland. I had the Chicken and Shrimp, and Scott and I split a sushi appetizer, and I had some of his sake too. We shall return for lunch next week we think, when prices are lower.
Though still unofficial, I know a bit more about my grades. I managed well enough on my math test to get a 93.2%, for my 3rd A this semester. I also got a 100 on my manufacturing project, for a 93.8 in there. However, even though being over 93% should give me an A, I reviewed the syllabus for the class and the professor apparently has a non-standard grading scale, and requires a 95% for an A. So, I end up with A, A, A, A-, and a 3.93 overall. That means I get Vice Presidents list. I should have 4 As though, and have complained to her and the college for a standardized grade scale.
I worked today, and it was not good. Boring, and repetitive. Sweep around the machine, wipe down the machine, go to next one. Then, when you get all the empty machines done, pretend your doing something so the members who pay your salary don’t get upset, and wait for them to get off the machines you haven’t cleaned yet. After that, mop the floor, and go on to the next room and do the same thing. Repeat that every day. Yeah, fun. I am looking into other options. Good news is they are all scheduled through the end of the year, so don’t need me to come be insanely bored there this month, just come be trained today.
And Christmas. There was word my Uncle Steve might come in, but apparently not. Jenn wants me to go home with her, but I need to be at Grandparents around 3 on Christmas Day, so trying to schedule both in. We think it’s doable though.
BTW, Old Great Wall is open Christmas Day. If anyone’s dinner turns out not-great.
Yeah, so have a very merry happy Christmahanukwanzakuh if I don’t see you before your respective holiday.
Some quick announcements.
This is post 330.
The word “Alpina” has been removed form all posts, and exists only in this one. They have all been changed to the correct spelling of “Alpena”.
All links to pages on the old site (homepage.mac.com/nslyax/…) have been either removed to changed to point to the same page on this site (hooji.nfshost.com/…).
All 296 old blogs have been edited, and as far as I know, have the correct dates. Oddly, all the ones mis-dated to 12/31/1969 @4:49pm were from December 2003 or 2004. Anyway though, it’s finally done, and only took 89 days.
After 16 years of asking her, Dave Letterman has finally convinced Oprah to appear on his show, airing December 1st at around 11:35.
I finished my F@H unit for 241 more points, for 3045 points total.
That is all.
First, I have reached 1000 visits on the new blog. Actually, I’ve reached 1017, but uh, anyway, Sarah got the visit at 9:30 am Nov 10.
I watched Bewitched last night. It was pretty good, funny, and not too stupid (with Will Farrell that can happen). I watched the first 20 minutes or so with Jenn, but then she left for work.
Yesterday Jenn was supposed to work, but was called and told she didn’t need to come in, but was on call till 2 am. So, we went to Menards and Tractor Supply to look for a christmas gift for her dad, then to the mall, then to Shannon’s (who she worked with at Staples) going away party at Hooters. On the way home, we rented a movie (see above) and settled in for a night on the couch. About 20 minutes later, around 11, Covenant called and asked for her to come in. She was my ride, and I was lazy, so I decided to stay and watch the movie. I ended up staying up till 6, then waking up at 7 till she got home, then went to sleep at 8ish when she did.
And finally. I know most of the people that read the blog, thanks to my wonderful counter. Jenn, Scott, and Sarah I know are frequent visitors, but there is one more. It says the IP is registered to RoadRunner in Austin, TX, and I know my cousin Cindy has RoadRunner service, and lives in Austin Texas. And it’s a fairly frequent visitor, so not a random occurrence, let alone that I am still not on search engine for a random occurrence to occur anyway. So, the only answer is whether it’s Cindy, Rachael (sp?), or Sam. So, whoever it is, i would appreciate an email, comment, or IM letting me know, cause I am always curious.
Jenn and I were driving down Wilder and I said “Ohh, we could go see Scott”, so we did. We talked for a bit about laser guided temperature probes, but then his pizza arrived so we left. Just an hour ago though, when I came home, I was greeted by iCal notifying me It’s Scott’s Birthday! I can’t believe I forgot. If you asked me what day his birthday was, I would tell you it’s today, but I just didn’t remember. So, sorry Scott. Happy Birthday.
After 72 hits from the Ask Jeeves robot in 2 days, I decided to turn off counting for robots. So, my counter will slow way down now, but its for the best. I thought it was going up pretty quick, I am at 914 after less than 3 months, but old blog took over 9 months to get that far.
I am, for the time being anyway, giving up on writing a poll. I finally did find one that works fairly well, and think I am going to stick with it. I managed to get as far as taking a vote from a form, writing it to a file, and telling you what your vote was. Reading from the file was next, but graphing is what daunted me, as well as writing in a format that was easily read from. Searching strings for specific text has always been one of my weaker points in programing.
Today we had Famous Dave’s Barbecue. Not bad at all, though a bit pricey. Jenn Chris and I went, and I think I would like to return sometime.
That would seem to be about it. No, the newer poll isn’t turned on yet, but soon. And remember to change clocks tonight.

Why does a chicken coupe have two doors?
Because if it had four doors, it would be a chicken sedan!
